First Field tests in Mariesminde

The OdinsAEye project is officially underway! From our kickoff meeting in Flakkebjerg we now moved to the first camera test runs at the fields of Mariesminde Jordbrug.

Close to the Limfjord in norther Danmark the OdinsAEye team had a great oportunity to do a first testrun.
The farm of Mariesminde was chosen for the first run because they had decided earlier this year to analyse a big area of their fields using the RoboWeedMaps system run by PatriotiskSelskab and provided together with Datalogisk A/S and the OdinsAEye partner I-GIS.

So we packed our prototypes and drove up to the farm to do a life trial. And yes we had some hickups but overall it ran really nicely and we are pumped about the results.

It was an unique case as we could compare the data from pre-spraying with analysis in the track lines three weeks post herbicide application with graduation or spot spraying maps. A great first trial for the idea behind OdinsAEye and a valuable learning lession for us. We are looking forward to digging into the data and seeing what conclusions we can take and can forward to the farmer without whom this would not be possible.

Thus a shout out and big thank you for the strong, constructive support from Kristian Boel Kjær Østergaard for opening his fields for us and Patriotisk Selskab, sharing the RoboWeedMaPS Service results with OdinsAEye.
